Abstract

|
Purpose: The purpose of this study was done to investigate community people attitudes toward mentally ill and community mental Health services.
Methods: The subjects for this study were the 282 persons who live in B gu, B city, The tool for the study was community attitudes towards the Mentally ill inventory (CAMI).
Results: The subjects showed lower Authoritarianism and higher Benevolence scores on the average. Most of the community people had a little idea the mental health.
Conclusion: The results of this study required to educate and find for community people, to change the positive attitudes towards the mentally ill and to achieve successful strategies for community mental health.
